A graduate of Arts Management BA program from Columbia College Chicago, and Africana Studies MA program from New York University; Nicole Harrison is a photographer, intellectual, artist, educator and youth advocate. Much of her scholarship and art practice is inspired by youth, hip hop and visual culture. Harrison is a self-taught photographer with a career that spans 6 years. She has photographed people, cultural events and communal spaces. Her first major project was an exhibition she curated titled "Fear Into Fire: Reclaiming Black Male Identity Through the Art of Tattooing" at Columbia College Chicago. Since then she has worked with artist collectives and projects in documenting community work(s) and events.
Harrison currently resides in Chicago, IL where she has launched her artist studio that will function as a space to further her photography career as well as support arts initiatives throughout the city.
