What is your shooting style?
My style of photography is rooted in documentary work that is influenced from start as an event photographer. While working with clients I look for the candid and emotional moments. - Representation is a concept I am constantly working through with each image so It is important that my method focuses on the true essence of the person or persons I'm capturing. - In theory the session is not about me. Therefore I look to client to contribute to the creation of their image(s) as I offer direction that is useful but not overpowering of the energy created in the session.
Do you prefer film or digital?
I LOVE film as a personal practice. It helps sharpen my skills and provide a deeper appreciation for the art of photography. However digital is great for working with clients looking to hire me for a portraits or event photography.
Do you provide RAW files?
I do not release or turn over Raw files to clients. Clients will receive edited jpegs.
Do I receive all the images taken?
Generally after each session, we sift through the images looking to remove any images that is not a great representation of the client and the photographers work. (This may consist of images poorly exposed, duplicates, models eyes closed, etc). - For portrait sessions we have a pay-per-print price structure. For events clients automatically receive an all-inclusive image package minus the images deleted during post production.
What is PAY-PER-PRINT?
Pay-per-Print Packages: clients pay directly for the time needed to take the photos in the form of a session fee. Once the images are ready, clients will decide which images they like best. Clients will then pay for prints of the selected images and low-resolution files to share on social media sites.. This approach is best for people who are not yet sure how many images they would like and would prefer to order images over time.
What is ALL-INCLUSIVE? Is this a purchasing option?
All-Inclusive: Clients receive access to high resolution digital files. This option is for clients who are in LOVE with our work, clients who prefer to print at their preferred provider, clients who would like to use the work for larger projects and publishing opportunities. - PLEASE NOTE: high resolution files are priced at a much higher rate.
What rights do I have to the digital files?
Photographers will retain and own the copyright to ALL images. However, if you have selected packages that includes digital files and/or if you wish to scan your prints into digital files, you will receive reproduction rights to all your images. You will be granted the right to reproduce the images for personal use. This will include prints, sharing them on your social media, making canvases, etc. Commercial use is not allowed if not separately agreed on.
If you would like to use images for commercial use please contact us directly to discuss information regarding licensing and seperate price structures.
