...is the official site and studio space for the photographic practice of artist, scholar activist Nicole Harrison. In Harrison's sixth year career as a portrait and event photographer, establishing this studio affords her the opportunity to advance her work and skill. As well as, create space that supports art initiatives and community engagement through workshops, lecture series, salons, film screenings and collaborations with guest photographers.
The space was acquired in July of 2017. The official launch will occur in January of 2018. Uponn acquiring the space, Harrison has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to support the operational cost and prepare the space for professional studio portrait sessions in the first year of operation. With a goal of $10,000 Harrison has been able to raise $2400 with the support of 63 donors and counting. With each donation, the space has already taken on a communal energy as friends/family and colleagues have shown their support.
